This is Salzburg! A small Barock city with an impressive alpine backdrop. The Salzburg Festspiele (Festival) was opened in 1920, and its debut performance was "Jedermann" ("Everyman").

Since then alot has happened in Salzburg. The Festival has – aside from Mozart – put the city back on the map to attain world wide recognition. The Festival brings the rich and famous to the city every year.

With world famous artists, modern and unique stagings, the Festival has returned to how it originally was: modern and cosmopolitan!
